Ingredients
| 1/2 | cup | Vinegar |
| 1 | cup | Water |
| 1 | Bay Leaf | |
| 4 | Allspice Berries | |
| 4 | Black Peppercorns | |
| 1 | clove | Garlic |
| 1 | Tbsp. | Sugar |
| 1/4 | tsp | Salt |
| 1 | Tbsp. | Olive Oil |
Directions
Combine marinade ingredients in 2-quart enameled saucepan and bring to boil.
Remove from heat. Cool.
Put beets in 3-quart saucepan.
Cover with cold water and bring to boil.
Cook about 45 minutes to 1 hour under low boil until tender.
